What is Juvederm?

JUVEDERM® XC is much different than Botox in that it fills the wrinkle or crease rather than relaxing the muscle. JUVEDERM® XC is a smooth consistency, gel made of hyaluronic acid-a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps to add volume and hydration. It works so well because of its ability to absorb 1,000 times its weight in water. JUVEDERM® XC easily fills in wrinkles, folds and creases in the skin while also plumping the lips because of its unique ability to absorb so much water. Today it is infused with lidocaine to improve comfort during treatment.
